Yes, Brian is no stranger for doing good for others, that is for sure! But this time, it's to help out a "charity"
directly run through former TEEN POP singer, Debbie "Deborah" Gibson. Yes...it's true. It seems Deborah's mother, Diane brought the attention of this "GIBSON GIRL FOUNDATION" to Brian because the ladies needed stuffers for GIFT "GOODY BAGS" for those fans who paid to go to the Debbie Gibson event. Diane Gibson, Deborah's mother, cozy-ed up to Brian...and asserted her request for some backstock merch of Brian's material. While Brian was interested in helping Deborah - the amount of money to ship all the items across country would have been a PRETTY PENNY. He convinced himself to go above and beyond - so he had packed TSHIRTS, CDs, DVD, and made a real effort to keep his word and spend some money helping the ladies out...Deborah Gibson was someone that Brian had looked up to professionally...in the past.
That said, the boxes and boxes of materials that were upwards of costing Brian $3K in inventory -- were finally delivered and delivered ON TIME for the event in LONG ISLAND at a castle where Deborah was performing on May 2nd. So, Apparently alls well that ends well.
Seems the event went off without a hitch, Brian helped the former "teen queen" going above and beyond the call of duty giving her some awesome loot, and in the process made a few kids happier -- sending them to Deborah's "performing arts camp". (It's funny though...-- guess the money raised at the Charity Gala by Deb and Diane was raised and designated to go to children that couldn't afford to go to Performing Arts Camp -- so that money REALLY just went back into Deborah and Diane's pocket...anyway. It's her OWN charity...and her OWN camp. Wow. Seems a little odd...?? They are paying themselves with the charity money they raised themselves.) What's stranger is -- Diane never called to thank Brian personally...just got a backhanded email. ...and Deborah never thanked Brian himself, AT ALL. Not one word... In a conversation with the "philanthropists" "publicist" later -- apparently it was said that neither Deborah, nor the publicist knew that Brian was going to be helping them out at all!!!! ...Not till the last moment! That's even MORE exponentially weird and insulting than Diane "disappearing" after the event was over...(LOL). Especially since it took an entire day out of Brian's schedule and quite a bit of money to "help them out". The publicist was rude...as per usual...and non responsive taking her days to get back to Brian regarding this and some other business.
At least Brian did finally get something...electronically...bc Miss Gibson is trying to be "up with the times" lol... Brian got an interesting message:

(shakes head.) ...we guess it's true what they say...never meet ur idols... Maybe Deborah should add an "etiquette" course to her "CAMP Class Curriculum" to teach the electric youth learning from her wisdom, how to properly show respect and gratitude -- and give credit where credit is due?? Money does NOT grow on trees these days...not does loyalty of someone that truly cared. C'est la vie!
